Amazon Instant Video

I’ve been a prime member for a while, free 2 day delivery is really sweet – especially if you’re an avid reader like I am. But they also have just so much stuff available for Prime I find myself looking here first for things. Now I may have to reconsider Netflix! This is the email I received today:

We are excited to add a new benefit to your Amazon Prime membership. Now you can instantly stream thousands of movies and TV shows on your PC, Mac or any of nearly 200 models of Internet connected TVs, Blu-ray player and set-top boxes with Amazon Instant Video.

Nice.

Decorative & Functional

With compact bodies and simple functionality, classic 35 mm cameras paved the way for both amateur photographers and professional photojournalists everywhere. The first was prototyped in Germany in 1913 and went into production as the Leica in 1924. Our collection of cameras crafted by a variety of mid-century German and Russian manufacturers have become vintage icons, making them perfect for display. Each one is unique; let us choose for you.

10 Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman under $1,000. Some Herman Miller Eames Lounge chair and ottomans can be upwards of $5,000. I found these great options that are all under $1000. Who doesn't recognize the Eames lounge chair and ottoman? It lives in museums like MoMA in New York and the Art Institute of Chicago, in stylish interiors everywhere. It has been the subject of documentary films and books.

The first Eames lounge chair and ottoman was made as a gift for Billy Wilder, the director of "Some Like It Hot," "Irma La Douce," and "Sunset Blvd." The heritage of the chair goes back to the molded plywood chairs pioneered by the Eameses in the 1940s.

The molded plastic chairs are a flexible and comfortable seat with a variety of base options. New materials, especially those that held promise for doing more with less, fascinated the Eames’s throughout their careers. Plastic was no exception. they saw in it the chance to form organic seat shells that conform to the body’s shape. The Eames’s adapted manufacturing techniques developed during World War II to mass-produce this design in side and armchair versions. As they typically did, the Eames’s required that materials be expressed honestly and unselfconsciously so these were the first one-piece plastic chairs offered without upholstery or covering. Their enduring design and quality construction make them durable performers in many environments. This item is a high quality reproduction of the original.

Abstract Art

Abstract Expressionism is a type of art in which the artist expresses himself purely through the use of form and color. It non-representational, or non-objective, art, which means that there are no actual objects represented.

Now considered to be the first American artistic movement of international importance, the term was originally used to describe the work of Willem de Kooning, Jackson Pollock and Arshile Gorky.

The movement can be more or less divided into two groups: Action Painting, typified by artists such as Pollock, de Kooning, Franz Kline, and Philip Guston, stressed the physical action involved in painting; Color Field Painting, practiced by Mark Rothko and Kenneth Noland, among others, was primarily concerned with exploring the effects of pure color on a canvas.
